    Not For The Feint-Hearted!

VPF members have been invited by ShelterBox to accompany a Telegraph journalist on a unique and challenging course designed to teach how Shelterbox deployments in disaster zones actually work. If you are a VPF member and are interested in learning more (or know anyone else who might be), please e-mail tom.taylor@vpf.org.uk. Here's the invite from ShelterBox:

As part of our partnership with The Telegraph this Christmas, we’re running a very special ‘Understanding Field Operations Course’ which a Telegraph journalist will be attending.  We are extending the invitation to a select few people including VPF members!

It’s super short notice because we’ve had to arrange the course around the journalist’s availability but we hope you might be able to attend.

    What?

ShelterBox's Understanding Field Operations course give participants the opportunity to learn more about ShelterBox and the work that we do, as well as getting taste of the ShelterBox Response Team training.

    Where?

At ShelterBox's training facility on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall.

    When?

Monday 3rd - Wednesday 5th December. The course will last from midday Monday - midday Wednesday more or less.

    Why?

You should really attend because it's a great experience, it's a great opportunity to learn more about ShelterBox and you get to meet lots of fun and interesting people!!

    Notes

Participants will be sleeping in a tent. Wear layers!
